What a marvellous present! Links to over 1000 web sites and each recommended web site is accompanied by a brief description of what you will find there and why it is worth visiting, from dissecting a frog to designing your own rollercoaster. It covers the whole field of science, including physics, chemistry, biology, information technology, earth sciences and astronomy, with up-to-date information on new fields such as genetic engineering, nanotechnology and the safeguarding of the environment.
